In 2011 we began a mission to uncover what was funny.
Seeing as we love our Shakespeare we started with The Comedy of Errors.
The 4th year of The Comedy Project we return to the text of The Comedy of Errors. We are in search of actors around the globe that want to film a scene from The Comedy of Errors. You film it, you send it (comedy@stonesoupshakespeare.com), we will post it and we will see what gets the most laughs. You can do anything with the text, all we ask is that you keep your funny family friendly so we can include it in our finished edit. Your work will be credited with whatever names you send us (your names, your groups name, or who you are doing this for).
In order to keep things from getting too confusing we have a few slight costuming notes:
Antipholus of Ephesus - red tie
Antipholus of Syracuse - black tie
Dromio of Ephesus - red hat
Dromio of Syracuse - black hat
Adriana - shawl
Luciana - bow in hair
Courtezan - black dress
Duke - sport coat
Egeon - scarf
all other characters can wear whatever they would like as long as they do not wear something from the above list
Each scene is below. Once you pick a scene, e-mail us and let us know. Once a scene is claimed it will go "off the market" so we can try and get every scene covered.

- 2011-2012 Season saw Stone Soup producing its first two readings (one in Carbondale and one in Chicago)
- 2012-2013 Stone Soup took the reading format to Glasgow to see if Scotland found funny differently.
- 2013-2014 we spent researching clowns and masks and funny without text
- 2014-2015 is now and we are asking you for your funny
