Once upon a time Stone Soup Shakespeare did readings when we weren't on tour. Then 2020 hit and we just didn't know how to return to our reading series...and then so much time had passed we just felt guilty, and so we needed something big to bring things back.
We have figured it out! And the answer is: SOUP & SCRIPTS

INAUGURAL SOUP & SCRIPTS: SATURDAY, OCTOBER 25
Join Stone Soup Shakespeare as we collaborate with Filament Theatre for: KING LEAR, part of Filament's Halloweekend fun! WHERE: Filament Theatre (4041 N Milwaukee Ave)
WHEN: 6PM (soups on at 5) WHAT: King Lear (father and daughters and classic misunderstandings in a slightly heightened way, oh and there's a storm) read aloud on the set of Filament Theatre's FORTS! WHO: cool and talented artists, Shakespeare's ghost (if we're lucky), and you (all ages, but we do talk about taking out eyeballs in this one, so some younger ears might want to stay home) HOW: it's free come as you are, but we love an RSVP WHY: because you love Shakespeare, and soup, and theater, and want to support Filament and Stone Soup, and like spooky things, and want to create a storm |
