ALE - brewed at home or at taverns, this great source of Vitamin B is good for the whole family
BEER - direct from Holland, drink this ALE with added hops - foreign to Londoners in 1591 it might not be the first choice...but maybe if you're feeling a little crazy AQUA VITAE - this restorative, almost therapeutic drink, ranges from brandy to whiskey, but it is what the doctor ordered...and Juliet's Nurse SACK - Falstaff's libation of choice, 'nuff said CANARY - another sweeter sack, this one preferred by Sir Toby, so...Sir Andrew is buying MUSCADEL - Greek wine, oft enjoyed by Petruchio POSSET - modern day Posset is a creamy, citrusy dessert, Bill would have enjoyed it as a hot milk curdled with ale...and some extra sugar too RHENISH - finally an unfortified wine...white wine...from Germany, that fool Yorick poured it over his head in Denmark once...Hamlet wasn't the only one getting into mischief at Elsinore...maybe if he had tried rhenish he would have been less melancholy APPLE DRINK (with sugar and honey) - this is apple cider everyone - they did have apple cider GRANATUS - basically fresh grenadine, pomegranates were just beginning to make their way to England and they would make a sugar syrup with it to flaver the...less than enjoyable water SAGE WATER - like cucumber water but...with sage WATER - drink with caution, Elizabethan water is...questionable |

The joy of theater is that it is many things to many people.
It is community coming together to take in art in shared spaces.
It is artists working together to tell stories.
It is voices being heard.
It is people listening.
It is feeling, together.
Whatever theater is most to you, we encourage you to share in all it is, and all it can be, and give yourself time and space in this moment to reflect on its place in your life.
