Alasdair Hunter (Director)
Directing includes: Richard the Second (Stanwix Theatre, Carlisle); Normal (Perth Youth Theatre); Love’s Labour’s Lost and The Comedy of Errors (Stone Soup Shakespeare at the Tron Theatre, Glasgow); Foundlings, Titus Andronicus and The Thrill Is Gone (Wilderness of Tigers); Vox Asylum (Articulate); Peter Arnott’s Heuristics in the Diner (World Premiere - RSAMD).
Assistant directing includes the world premieres of DC Jackson, Douglas Maxwell, and Johnny McKnight’s Smalltown (d. Johnny McKnight), Bathsheba Doran’s Parents Evening (d. Jim Simpson) and DC Jackson’s The Wall (d. Gregory Thompson). Alasdair is Associate Director at Perth Theatre where he has worked on Rachel O’Riordan’s productions of Twelfth Night and The Seafarer (in co-production with the Lyric Belfast). He is a visiting director at the University of Glasgow (MLitt Playwriting) and the University of Cumbria (BA Performing Arts). Alasdair is a Past President of Glasgow’s Queen Margaret Union. Kim Curlee (Gonzalo/Ariel)
A modest actor of more years than talent...having of late been involved with such works as The Laramie Project, Crimes of the Heart, God of Carnage, and most humbly, Macbeth. Happily married in Southern Illinois, having schooled at SIU, Kim looks forward to his Stone Soup experience with great anticipation...and no shortage of grey hairs.

Nicole Goeden (Alonso/Trinculo/Ariel)
Nicole is returning for her second tour with Stone Soup Shakespeare, where she enjoyed portraying Hermia, Snout, and several fairies in A Midsummer Night’s Dream last year. She has performed with various companies in Minneapolis/Saint Paul and the Washington, DC area and currently resides in Chicago. Favorite past roles include Rosaline in Love’s Labour’s Lost and Beatrice in Servant of Two Masters. Nicole holds a BA in Theater from the College of Saint Benedict (Minnesota).

Jake Jones (Ferdinand/Caliban/Ariel)
Jake Jones is a resident of Chicago and has worked with a variety of theaters locally and regionally. He has been in many Shakespearean productions including Hamlet and Romeo & Juliet at Chase Park Theater, Love’s Labour’s Lost at Oak Park Festival Theater, Twelfth Night at Actor’s Theater Columbus, and Hamlet with Suitcase Shakespeare. He has also worked and trained with the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey. Other Chicago credits include shows with Circle, Commedia Beauregard, Greatworks, Alphabet Soup and City Lit. Jake has appeared in shows at CATCO, Ovation, and the Cincinnati Fringe fest in his home state of Ohio. When not performing, he often teaches acting and improv for children. Jake is a proud graduate of the University of Cincinnati’s College Conservatory of Music (CCM) with a BFA in Acting.

Ken Miller (Antonio/Stephano/Ariel)
Ken is so glad to be back with Stone Soup for this tour having been with them last season for A Midsummer Night's Dream. Ken graduated from Millikin University with his B.F.A in Acting and has since been living and working in Chicago with such companies as the Plagiarists and Nothing Special Productions.

Jared Shofstall (Sebastian/Ariel)
Jared Shofstall is a local of Southern Illinois. He has been acting locally for six years. Past works include Claudio in Much Ado About Nothing (Three Graces), Benvolio in Romeo and Juliet (Stone Soup Shakespeare), Hortensio in The Taming of the Shrew (which he also co-directed)(Three Graces), and lead ensemble parts in The Laramie Project (The Stage Company).

Julia Stemper (Prospero)
Julia Stemper continues to count herself lucky to have Stone Soup Shakespeare in her life. Since touring last year as Titania in A Midsummer Night's Dream she has had the joy of working with Theatre-Hikes in last summer's production of The Wind in the Willows, Chicago dell'Arte's well-received Commedia King John and most recently The Plagiarists premiere of Matryoshka all in the Chicagoland area. Some other past credits include Lady Montague (Romeo and Juliet - First Folio Theatre), March Hare (Alice in Wonderland - Synetic Theatre) and Miss Louisa (Miss Louisa and the Outlaws - Mrs. Cox's 4th Grade English Class: Winkler Elementary). Julia holds a BA from Macalester College in St. Paul, MN and an MA from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow, Scotland.

Krista Taylor (Miranda/Ariel)
Krista Taylor is proud to be making her Stone Soup tour debut. Most recently she could be seen in Stone Soup’s staged reading of Love’s Labour’s Lost. She received her BA in Acting from Pepperdine University and studied with Steppenwolf West while living in Los Angeles. A recent Chicago transplant, her acting credits include Gwen Stacy in The Spidey Project (Theatre Unleashed), Lucy in There’s No Place Like...(Hollywood Fringe Festival), Mae in Desire (Steppenwolf West Intensive), Mary Anne Rowen in The Kentucky Cycle (Edinburgh Fringe Festival), Emma in The Happiest Millionaire (Glendale Center Theatre), and State in The Persians (Getty Villa Museum). Krista also serves as the Administrative Coordinator for Red Tape Theatre Company in Chicago and as an educator for the Adler Planetarium and Astronomy Museum.

Emily Thompson (2013 Tour Fellow)
Emily Thompson is from Rock Falls, Illinois, and she is studying Theatre at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. This is her first encounter with the Stone Soup Shakespeare Troupe, but she is excitedly ready for her first Shakespeare production and to be a part of this great cast and opportunity. She was last seen in The Blithe Spirit as Edith, at the Varsity Theatre, in Carbondale, Illinois.
