Stone Soup Shakespeare pairs up with David Bowie in his comedy classic Twelfth Night. Our play takes place in Illyria where the Duke Orsino is pining after the Countess Olivia who is in mourning over her recently passed brother. Storms at sea nearby toss twins Sebastian and Viola on different shores, each convinced the other perished and searching for a new life in this strange land. Viola masks herself as a man to work for the Duke only to find herself falling for him, while the Countess seems to be falling for her disguised servant self. Sebastian takes up company with the outlaw Pirate Antonio. All meet up just as Olivia's Uncle Toby's hijinks with some of the servants come to a head. Twins uncovered and love exposed, Shakespeare's tale is as fantastical and musical as Bowie's discography (or is it the other way around).

Dust off your picnic baskets and shake out your blankets and then find a friend or a few and find us in your backyard. Shows on our tour are always free, though we do encourage you to bring a non-perishable item for donation (all shows are partnered with a local food bank), and if you are able to make a financial donation to keep us moving on to the next backyard - well, we're not gonna say no.
