PERICLES
the tour
About Pericles Pericles, Prince of Tyre is the adventurous tale of Pericles as he travels from island to island in search of love, happiness, and home. He narrowly escapes death from a dastardly king, he provides salvation to an impoverished island nation, he is shipwrecked, finds love, and loses it, and just as we think all is lost, we travel forward in time to see his daughter's adventures in the island region he traveled through in his own youth. As our characters journey, so do we, inviting us all to face adventure, and reflect on what it is we are searching for when we leave home, and how home changes once we find it. Filled with music, puppets, pirates, and more, we would love for you to help us celebrate the work we have been doing, as we finally have the chance to tell this story to a community that we imagine knows a thing or two about storms both actual, and those metaphorical ones we all face now and again in our own journeys through life. Run time is ~90 minutes The play is acceptable for all ages, though there is some discussion of adult topics Audiences are encouraged to bring picnics to enjoy along with the story (as well as any picnic blankets or other seating). In case of inclement weather, please check social media for updates. |
