One pair of estranged twin brothers (both named Antipholus), and one pair of estranged twin servants (both named Dromio) all wind up in the same city for the first time ever, completely ignorant of the other's existence. Add to the fun that the city has a bit of a reputation for magic. The theatrical chaos that ensues when all elements are thrown together are the makings of Shakespeare's take on a Roman original (seriously Shakespeare borrowed this plot from a farce by Plautus that is even older).

More twins in Shakespeare's comedy alternately named What You Will. When Viola and Sebastian set sail they didn't intend on the shipwreck, but separated and thinking the other dead they both manage to arrive in the town of Illyria. When the Duke hires Viola (now dressed as a boy) to woo the mourning Olivia we run into the old story of boy meets girl dressed like boy meets girl. Our workshop explores the gender bending comedy with more gender bending when we ask male actors to take on the female roles and female actors to take on the male roles.
